Sunday 21st of September La Resina Golf Club celebrated its first Captain’s Charity Day. The idea behind this event is to celebrate and support the club captain Peter Domeij, all whilst raising funds for the charity of his choice.
His choice was Aprona, the local charity in Estepona for the mentally impaired. This amazing charity helps over a dozen categories of disability to all ages in the area and is a very worthwhile cause.
Dozens of prizes were donated which allowed all proceedings from golf, lunch, crazy golf, captain’s mulligan and raffle to raise 2,155€, which was then doubled by local Norwegian business owners Johnny and Ann Elin from Stahlen Eiendom Spania SL. The final total was 4,310 euros, smashing all expectations by a mile, and the great thing was everyone had fun doing it and danced the afternoon away.
